Xinsheng Boxing automates cut-up and deboning

JBT Marel success in the Shandong province, China

The large, multi-site Xinsheng Group and JBT Marel continue to strengthen their longstanding partnership, which started in 2011 when the Boxing plant installed its first two 12,000 bph evisceration lines. Now, in 2026, this same plant is set for a major automation upgrade with four ACM‑NT cut‑up lines and eight AMF‑i deboning systems.

Since 2011, the Xinsheng company has implemented comprehensive JBT Marel solutions in four of its factories. At the Gaosheng plant, two 13,500 bph evisceration lines were installed in 2016, together with two grading lines, four ACM‑NT cut‑up lines and no fewer than eight AMF‑i breast deboning lines. Similar 13,500 bph evisceration setups were added to the Hesheng and Longtai plants in 2018.

At Xinsheng’s Boxing processing plant, the new grading line operates with a whole‑bird weighing module integrated into the overhead conveyor, which interacts directly with the PDS distribution software. Xinsheng places great importance on having well‑trained staff working on the grading and cut‑up lines, and therefore organizes extensive training with JBT Marel to ensure a thorough understanding of the PDS software.

Products then proceed to the ACM‑NT lines via four TR‑1G HS rehangers. Xinsheng chose to include modules for wing stretching, leaf‑fat removal and neck cutting before the actual wing‑cutting section. Here, the WingTipper removes the wing tip, and the Second Joint Wing Cutter HPP performs a precise mid‑wing cut according to Chinese specifications, ensuring that as much skin as possible from the first joint remains attached. The remaining wing portion is then separated from the breast with the Wing Cutter CC‑NT. The process continues with the Breast Cutter, the Spine Cutter and the Tail Cutter, after which the JL‑HP ensures a straight anatomical leg cut.

The cut breast caps are directed to eight AMF‑i deboning systems, all configured identically. Each line begins with the Breast Cap FlexLoader, which positions the breast caps accurately on the product holder. The deboning process then starts with the measuring system, classifying each breast cap and allowing the subsequent AMF‑i modules to adjust automatically to product size. These modules include the Breast Skinner, Wishbone Remover, Halving Module, Fillet Separator, Tenderloin Separator, Keel Ribbon Harvester and Cartilage Harvester. Together, these operations create the ideal conditions for the manual harvesting of fillets and tenders. And with no fewer than eight AMF‑i systems running in parallel, the Boxing plant produces an impressive volume of high‑quality deboned breast meat every day.
