Reception hopper

Reception hopper receives, accumulates, and doses freshly harvested produce directly from trucks. The system can be configured with one, two, or three stages, to suit the produce characteristics and line capacity needs.

Volume control photocells control belt speed and produce movement through each stage of the hopper, connect into the full line. Installing a weighing belt after the hopper to increase control of produce flow on lines from fresh to IQF.

• One-stage / mini-bunker ideal for limited productions, combining receiving, accumulation, and dosing in one stage
• Two-stage hopper, the most common model, with a first stage for receiving and accumulation and a second stage for dosing to control layer height
• Three-stage hopper for leaf products, breaks up blocks, rotating mechanisms and level changes separate product further, and the lifting conveyor provides a uniform flow for dosing
