Tighter weight control

High-resolution weighing helps you control portion accuracy more precisely and reduce unnecessary giveaway. With half-gram increments up to 1000 g as an option, Nexa can detect smaller weight deviations, allowing target weights to be set closer to the legal minimum while reducing the risk of underweight packs.

Nexa utilizes AXIN, Pluto, Logiflex and the Digital Engine Framework. Incorporation into JBT Marel line solutions is enhanced. The digital engine opens the door to the possibility of future predictive maintenance capabilities.

The digital engine is a non-real-time IPC (inter-process communication). It hosts the main WPL-Application and AXIN services and is the heart of the machine connecting to Logiflex. It also hosts Marel Secure print as a container to manage all legally relevant data.

The WPL-Application takes weigh information from the scale (via Logiflex), and pulls the product and label information from the AXIN services, it renders a label image with legally relevant information before passing it on to the printers and logiflex which tracks the pack in real time and applies the label.

Connected to the digital engine is an HMI interface (the checkweigher display), this is operator facing and used to select product and give error or warning feedback to the line operator.
