Heart/lung Harvester (HLH)

Information

Without the use of blades the HLH Heart/Lung Harvester separates esophagus and gizzard from the heart and lungs. It is of particular interest to processors wanting to sell hearts and lungs to pet food manufacturers, for whom any pieces of esophagus are unacceptable.

If processing requirements dictate, HLH will also handle viscera packs with the liver and/or intestines still attached.

If hearts and lungs are needed for pet food manufacture, these are unloaded from the HLH and are ready for inspection and packing.

If hearts are needed for retail sale, these are discharged into an HLS heart/lung separator which separates the lungs from the hearts and then removes the pericardium and any loose tendons or arteries from the hearts.

  • No blades to sharpen, no electric motors
  • Stainless steel and other non-corrosive materials
  • A carrousel machine driven by the overhead conveyor
  • Bypass possible
  • Low cost of ownership
