FPC Pre-Cutter

The FPC Pre-Cutter opens the carcass from the pubic bone, and ‘breaks’ the pubic bone open enabling further opening with a 2nd F-Line tool.

This unit provides a symmetric division of the pubic bone between the hind legs of the pig, hanging from the transport conveyor. A previously performed automatic measurement ensures that the tool is correctly pre-positioned with each pig. The use of the public bone cutter enables further automation and an improved positioning of an automatic carcass saw or splitter.

The public bone cutter works with a carbide blade and contains no moving parts so no smearing of the ham parts or muscle pieces by sawdust occurs.
