CibusTec 2026: Making more value from every ingredient

Over four fantastic days in Parma, Italy, JBT Marel welcomed processors from across Europe and the world to talk energy saving, online machine performance and how the latest technology can boost efficiency and profits across their businesses.

Stronger across every sector

CibusTec attracts processors from a wide range of fields: fruit and vegetable, dairy, beverage, ready meal, meat, poultry, fish and prepared foods, and the JBT Marel stand reflected that breadth, with solutions across extraction and sterilization, filling and packaging, and portioning.  

Seeing the big picture in the Virtual Hub

A highlight for many was the Virtual Hub where, instead of looking at machines in isolation, visitors could tour complete, integrated processing lines. Following product from reception to dispatch. Tours covered:

• Fruit puree  
• Ready-to-drink beverages 
• Protein dicing line 
• Chicken nugget further processing line 
• Steak portioning & packaging lines 

With the full line view visitors could see just how our connected, integrated solutions reduce waste and lift profitability. When the tour was finished, our experts were on hand to talk about just where the right solution could solve each processor's specific challenges.

Quality demonstrated in the physical machines

The Virtual Hub is a great tool for seeing the bigger picture, but nothing replaces getting close to a physical machine. Visitors to the stand agreed with a lot of interest shown in how our Sterideal® Ohmic sterilizes fruit and vegetable preparations to the highest safety standards, while preserving the taste, texture and nutritional value customer demand. 

The RevoPortioner and TREIF HAWK portion cutter drew considerable interest from processors in all proteins looking to improve weight-accuracy and increase the flexibility of their portioning lines.  

For freezing options, the GYRoCOMPACT range of freezers reminded everyone just why it’s become known for state-of-the-art freezing with operating simplicity.  

Good partnership goes beyond installation

We know performance doesn’t stop at installation, at CibusTec 2026 our Software specialists were kept busy showing how AXIN Solutions offers a module way to integrate software into processing lines and gain insights from real-time data that drive constant improvements. Our Service team was kept busy discussing how ongoing service helps protect uptime, optimize equipment overtime and get processors more from their investments.
