JBT Marel’s new Nuova-i eviscerator is a major step towards an intelligent, digitalized primary process. The Nuova-i allows for automated flock adjustments. These can be controlled by a touchscreen, allowing a switch to the perfect flock settings in a matter of seconds. Thanks to the internal machine software, Nuova-i can measure its own performance, allowing real-time insight into each unit. The remote monitoring, evaluation and improvement of performance and status illustrate Nuova-i’s connectivity. Even remote support is possible.

The SmartWeigher GDR ensures precise inline weighing at highest speeds. With PDS software, products are assessed and sent to the right destination. The system can be expanded with IRIS vision grading, unloading stations, and a rehanger. This automatic grading reduces giveaway and ensures every product goes to its best use. SmartWeigher can also be used in the defeathering, evisceration and cut-up departments.

Marel’s SensorX sets the standard in bone detection. Using X-ray technology, SensorX automatically finds bones and other foreign objects in poultry meat, ensuring extremely reliable food safety. The incidence of false positives has been reduced to an absolute industry minimum while the detection of difficult-to-find bone fragments is more accurate. With Xpress integrated, SensorX can process the highest capacities. Internal SmartBase software allows for machine health status monitoring, while the optional Infeed Monitoring prevents rework.
