PaceLine

The JBT Marel PaceLine is a cut up/deboning conveyor for breaking big pieces into smaller primals. The principle of pace deboning is based on a conveyor belt transporting carcass parts through the cutting room.

The PaceLine is a flexible modular system which can be tailored to meet specific requirements.

The conveyor system is not only the means of transport, it is also the deboner’s work surface. The speed of the belt determines the work tempo in the line. Each employee in the line has a specific task in the deboning process, which must be completed within the time that the piece of meat passes.

Weighing stations and scales can be added to the line for weighing the product and side transporting the primals onto the main belt conveyor of a deboning, trimming and packing system such as the StreamLine.

In the PaceLine, the carcass is processed into main and by-products in several steps. The deboning speed is determined by the supply of carcasses or carcass parts.

Pace deboning is an application that makes it possible to achieve efficient, uniform deboning with less qualified personnel. The individual operations are simple and therefore easy to learn. With the conveyor at a continuous speed, big reductions on processing time can be achieved.

The PaceLine includes some or all of the following operations:

• Registration of the input material
• Breakdown of the input material into smaller pieces
• Handling of bones or waste from trimming operations
