Low Energy Suction System

A technology break-through for static Steam Water Spray (SWS) retorts, our Low Energy Suction System (LESS) provides food processors more energy savings by employing a new, bolt-on system that reduces retort water volume by up to 45%, thereby significantly decreasing heating and cooling costs per process. LESS can be added to existing retorts as an upgrade kit and is available on new retorts as an option.The low water level system utilizes a suction manifold to spread the suction points out along the entire length of the vessel. This allows for a lower water level to be used during processing without causing pump cavitation.
