Giraffes, screws and buffers

JBT Marel giraffes, screw conveyors and buffers are suitable for transport / buffering of both fresh and frozen minced meat.

Optionally, the outlets can be equipped with a pneumatic retractable chute system. For safety reasons, the Giraffes are equipped with a "grill" safety cover over the horizontal screw. Doors, which can be opened, are mounted with safety switches.

The robust machine housing is made in heavy duty AISI 304 stainless steel and designed without corners or edges in order to facilitate cleaning. Likewise, easy dismount of horizontal screw and quick opening of vertical / inclined screw makes cleaning easier. Thus the equipment meets the strictest hygiene requirements.

The machines can be standalone, or be part of an integrated processing line. Since the electric control unit is mounted on the machine, it is only a matter of plugging it in.

GIRAFscrews

• Suitable for transport/buffering of both fresh and frozen minced meat
• Two screw sizes available for capacities of 15 or 20 t/h
• Equipped with wheels
• The discharge height and length of horizontal buffer can be configured as required to fit the specific layout. The horizontal and vertical screws always run simultaneously. The capacity is the same regardless of the length of the horizontal and vertical screw chosen.

SCREWconveyors

• Capacity up to 20 t/h
• Maximum product size is 150 x 100 x 50 mm (fresh trimmings)
• As an optional extra, the SCREWconveyor can be equipped with a “knockdown” frame inclusive 4 turnable wheels.

GIRAFbuffer

• Suitable for buffering/transport of both fresh and frozen minced meat

BUFFERSCREWconveyor

• Maximum product size is 150 x 100 x 50 mm (fresh trimmings)
• It can be fitted with a large agitator to ensure steady feeding to the screw and to keep the product in motion to avoid bridge building.
• The outfeed screw runs the full length of the buffer.
