Salaks orders two JBT Marel EVi gutting machines for high capacity, high quality processing

Salangen, Norway. Salaks, a family owned salmon farmer in Troms county, has ordered two EVi gutting machines from JBT Marel. The machines will be installed at Salaks' harvesting facility in Rotvika, adding automated processing capacity built to support the company's production as it grows.

High capacity

EVi is designed for volume. Its compact, parallel flow layout and lane redundancy keep at least half of the machine's capacity available even during a downtime, giving Salaks the stable, high uptime processing it needs as its own volumes increase.

High quality

At the core of EVi is AQi, JBT Marel's vision technology. It scans each fish, adjusts the gutting tools automatically, and inspects the result in real time, catching defects early and protecting yield and quality across the line.

A platform for the future

For Salaks, the investment looks beyond today's volumes. As production increases in the years ahead, the two EVi machines give the company a platform to build on, capacity and quality that scale together.

With the order placed, JBT Marel and Salaks now move into installation planning at Rotvika.
